Interface Languages
The whole MonoChat interface, from the sign-in pages to settings, is available in 22 languages. Each language is listed under its own name, so you can find yours even when the screen is in a language you do not read.

Right-to-left languages
When you choose Arabic, Persian, Urdu or Pashto, the whole layout is mirrored: the navigation bar, drawers, lists and direction arrows switch sides so the screen reads from right to left. Switching back to any other language restores the left-to-right layout.
Which language you see first
On your first visit MonoChat uses your browser's language. If that exact variant is not available it picks a close one (a French-Canadian browser gets French, for example), and otherwise English.
Change your language
Before you sign in: use the language selector at the bottom of the sign-in and sign-up pages.
Inside MonoChat:
- Click the account button at the bottom of the navigation bar.
- In your profile's general information, open Default Language and pick a language.
- Click Save.
The interface switches immediately. The choice is remembered in the browser you use, so on another computer or browser you may need to choose it again. See Profile Settings.
Emails
The emails MonoChat sends (sign-up, password reset, invitations, two-factor codes, billing notices and weekly summaries) are translated into the same 22 languages.
- Emails sent to you personally use the language MonoChat has on record for your user. If there is none, the workspace's default language is used.
- Emails about the workspace as a whole, such as billing notices and the weekly summary, use the workspace's default language.
See Notifications and Emails for the full list.
The workspace's default language
Each workspace has a default language, set in Settings › CRM › Languages › Default Language. Besides the workspace-wide emails above, it is used as the fallback language for customers and messages that have no language of their own. See Language Settings.
The interface language is personal: changing yours does not change what your teammates see, and it does not change the workspace's default language.
